Rider’s Responsibilities
- Bikers must always wear a helmet.
- Always ride in control and yield to other trail users.
- Uphill traffic has right of way.
- Dogs are welcome, but not during busy event weekends. Always keep your dog under control. Keep in mind that all members are not as fond of dogs as you are. Pick up after your dog. Riders must be sure dogs are healthy enough to keep up without undo stress. Do not leave dogs in your car or tied to a tree while out on the trails. If dogs chase members or wildlife they must be removed immediately.
- No swimming in the quarries. The only exception is the Jones Brothers south quarry located at the end of our new Grand Canyon trail in Upper Graniteville, which is already used publicly.
- Do not approach the quarries beyond the designated trails.
- Ride only on MTA designated trails. Do not wander off the trails. Our trails are on private property including that of Rock of Ages, an active quarry operation. Abuse of this sprivilege by those exploring beyond our marked trails could result in the loss of the use of Rock of Ages land or other private property.
